India and Australia have selection issues to deal with

The Men In Blue opening batter Shubman Gill is recovering from Dengue and despite Rahul Dravid’s assurance, Gill is doubtful for the game, given the nature of the disease. Ishan Kishan, who has opened the batting before in the last many months, is set to play. On the other hand, the Asian side has to decide whether to play Ravichandran Ashwin or Shardul Thakur.

Given the pitch’s behavioral history, the former might get a nod. On the other hand, Marcus Stoinis is doubtful as he is yet to recover from a hamstring injury.
