The 2023 ODI World Cup was not well received as the opening ceremony was not held and the world’s largest cricket venue was only partially filled for the tournament opener. However, much to the delight of fans, the Indian Cricket Board has announced a grand event ahead of the blockbuster India-Pakistan clash on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The biggest spectacle of cricket kicked off on October 5 and so far, 10 matches have been played, providing immense exciting moments. However, the ‘Mother of All Battles’ – India vs Pakistan – is the encounter that everyone is eagerly waiting for. The game is scheduled to start at 2 PM (IST) with the toss taking place at 1:30 PM.

Meanwhile, the pre-match show – a grand musical ceremony – will begin at 12.30 PM (IST), meaning fans will be allowed to enter the venue at least four hours earlier. Notably, India great Sachin Tendulkar and legendary actors Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan – Golden Ticket holders – will also attend the ceremony and the match.

Who are the artists for the grand musical ceremony?

The grand event titled ‘Musical Odyssey’ will be performed by three of India’s finest artists on October 14. The Indian Cricket Board on Thursday took to its official X (formerly known as Twitter) account to reveal further details about the ceremony. Shankar Mahadevan, Arijit Singh and Sukhwinder Singh will perform at the Narendra Modi Stadium, which has a capacity of over 13,0000 seats.

Meanwhile, talking about the ongoing World Cup, India and Pakistan got off to a strong start as they won their two matches. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul’s record partnership of 165 saw India beat Australia by six wickets in their opening match. In their next match, Rohit Sharma and Co. beat Afghanistan by 8 wickets, raising their net run rate.
