In the sixth game of the ongoing ODI World Cup, India and Australia will lock horns at the Chepauk Stadium, Chennai. Both teams will play their opening game of the tournament. Also, the home side, India will play their first game of the World Cup. Before them, the likes of England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and the Netherlands have opened their campaign.

Meanwhile, ahead of the ODI WC game between India and Australia, it pelted down in the capital city of Tamil Nadu state. It has gotten so bad that schools have been shut till Monday (October 9). Apart from that, the city has been experiencing hardships such as congestion, train cancelations, diversions, etc. Meanwhile, renowned commentator Harsha Bhogle mentioning the rain has sent some doubts in the minds of fans.

Meanwhile, ahead of the game, India got a bit of a blow as Shubman Gill caught dengue a few days ahead of the game. Whilst he is recovering, Ishan Kishan is set to open the batting. On the other hand, they need to decide whether to play Ravichandran Ashwin or Shardul Thakur in the team.

As far as Australia is concerned, Marcus Stoinis is racing against time to recover from a hamstring injury.
