Ahead of the ongoing Pakistan vs England match of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023, there was a lot of talk the Asian side needed to win big. They needed to win either by 287 runs or chase down any target above 20 between 50 runs in 16 balls. With the chasing scenario being stiff, the best interest of the team was to bat first at any cost.

However, at the toss, the Three Lions skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and elected to bat first. With this, the already slim chance of the 1992 winners has dwindled. Buttler said “Looks a good wicket, little dry, we want first use of it. Nice to break a losing streak, want to leave India with our heads held high. An emotional day for David Willey, so we talked about trying to enjoy it and take it all in.”
