IPL 2024: Chennai Super Kings CEO drops massive update on MS Dhoni ahead of new season

Mahendra Singh Dhoni still retains the aura and respect that he commanded when he was the India skipper. Ahead of the IPL 2024 season, there are massive doubts regarding the fitness of the CSK skipper. Not too long ago MS Dhoni was seen hobbling while walking while he is enjoying time away from the game.

Chennai Super Kings won their 5th title last season after beating Gujarat Titans in the final game. It was an emotional moment for the men in yellow and their fans as they assumed that IPL 2023 will be Dhoni’s last season.

As the year comes to a close the anticipation for the IPL 2024 season is starting to build up. Kasi Viswanathan who is the CEO of the Chennai Super Kings team has made a massive statement about MS Dhoni.

‘He will answer you directly’ Kasi Viswanathan ducks questions on MS Dhoni –

Kasi Viswanathan was recently attending an event where questions on MS Dhoni came about. The event was for the launch of the Junior Super Kings which took place in Chennai. CSK’s CEO did not give anything away when asked about the future of their skipper.

Mr. Viswanathan was asked if the 2024 IPL is set to be MSD’s final outing, to which he replied “That I do not know. See, as far as the captain is concerned, he will answer you directly. He doesn’t tell us what he is going to do”

According to the CSK supremo, MS Dhoni is set to start his training soon. “He is doing well now, he started working in the gym. And, probably in another 10 days he’ll start working in the nets also”

This statement should fill a lot of CSK fans with delight as they eagerly wait to see their Thala Dhoni back in action. One final piece of information revealed by Kasi Viswanathan is also important.

“We are planning for a camp somewhere in the 1st week of March. The IPL Season is likely to start by the 22nd of March. So, we will have our first camp by the first week in Chennai”. This latest information corroborates the plan for IPL’s new season and the likely start date revealed by the Indian Cricket Board.
