India have slipped down to the no. 2 spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 points table after the 2nd match of the 2-match Test series against West Indies ended up in a stalemate after the 5th day of the match got washed out due to rain at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain.

India won the first match by a huge margin of 1 inning and 141 runs which helped them to gain 12 points. However, the draw in the 2nd Test has decreased their win percentage which has come down to 66.67 with 16 points. India were in a strong position in the 2nd Test as they needed only 8 wickets to win the match on the final day of the Test.

However, the rain helped Pakistan to reach the top of the points table. The Men in Green have a 100% win record in the WTC cycle so far. The team captained by Babar Azam are currently engaged in a 2-match Test series against Sri Lanka. They defeated Sri Lanka in the first Test by a margin of four wickets.

Australia and England are in 3rd and 4th spots respectively

They are also in a great position in the 2nd Test already after bowling Sri Lanka out for 166 in the first innings of the second Test. Pakistan put themselves in a strong position by scoring 145 runs while losing only 2 wickets on the first day of the match itself. Australia are in the 3rd sport with 26 points in 4 matches with a win percentage of 54.17.

Australia started their WTC 2023-25 campaign in Ashes 2023 against England. The Kangaroos won the first 2 Tests. But England made a remarkable comeback in the 3rd Test and won the match. With this win, they also opened their WTC points account. The 4th Test ended in a draw due to rain and they are currently placed in the 4th place 14 in 4 matches with a win percentage of 29.17.
