Pakistan cricket team are all set to clash against India for the second time in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. The arch-rivals will face each other in the Super 4 clash on September 10 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The Men in Green started their Super 4 campaign with a convincing victory over Bangladesh on September 6.

Meanwhile, Pakistan captain Babar Azam talked about their upcoming clash against India and said that the win against Bangladesh will give them confidence and they will give their 100% in the much-awaited clash against India. Interestingly, both teams clashed against each other on September 2 but the match got washed out due to rain.

Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets in the first match of the Super 4 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Pakistani bowlers were brilliant as usual as they restricted them on the score of 193 runs. Haris Rauf was the star with the ball as he picked up 4 wickets in just 6 overs and conceded only 19 runs. Naseem Shah also picked up 3 wickets.

Pakistan chased the target easily with Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan smashing half-centuries. However, Babar could only score 17 runs as he got clean bowled by Taskin Ahmed. Babar talked about the match in the post-match presentation and gave full credit to the fast bowlers. He also thanked the crowd in Lahore as it was the last match of the Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan.

“Too much heat, but full credit to the fast bowlers. First Shaheen and then Haris Rauf. We planned on picking Faheem because we saw the pitches here, there was grass on it and we like that also. Always when we play here, the crowd supports us and I hope all of them enjoyed this match.”
