‘Chhatwa world cup ane wala hain’- Fans react as India remains unbeaten in U-19 WC after beating New Zealand by 214 runs in super-six match

The Under-19 World Cup 2024 is currently going on in South Africa. Team India has been the most successful team in the tournament history and they are once again showing their talent of why they are the most successful team in the junior team. They are in sensational form in the current edition as well, as they are having a dream run. They won their first Super Six match against New Zealand on Tuesday by 214 runs.

This is their third win with a margin over 200 runs they defeated Ireland and the USA previously in the group stage by 201 runs. Uday Saharan’s team have shown a dominating performance against the teams that they have played so far. Musheer Khan has been the star for the young side, he is currently the highest run-scorer in the tournament with over 300 runs scoring two centuries in the 4 games he has played.

On Tuesday the batter once again showed his brilliant display of batting against the Kiwis. He smashed 131 off 125 balls, hitting 13 fours and 3 sixes at Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein. Opener Adarsh Singh played a knock of 52 runs and helped India post 295/8.

India’s dream run continues

In reply, the Black Caps were bowled out for 81 runs no batters could go past 20 runs as Saumy Pandey 4 wickets. Khan also showed his bowling ability picking up two wickets, along with Raj Limbani. Musheer was named the man of the match for his brilliant all-round display.

After the game, he said, “Want to thank the almighty. It’s a good feeling to get century, a good feeling. Now, I have to keep continuing this form in the next matches. Centuries give confidence to the batter. It allows him to go forward confidently when the matches get tougher. This is a slower pitch and our bowlers have been bowling well. They are in good form and we are getting the results. Got a call from my brother (Sarfaraz Khan) that he got selected to the Indian Squad for the Second Test.”
