Published

on

Trinbago Knight Riders overwhelmed Barbados with a fantastic bowling display as they won by 6 wickets.

Chasing 123, Pollard managed was the star of the show after losing early wickets.

The Knight Riders achieved the target in the 17th over.

Phillips and Azam shine for Royals

There are only two players that we have to talk about regarding Royal’s batting display, and they are Azam Khan and Glenn Phillips.

Despite a poor start, both of these batsmen were outstanding for the Royals.

They scored 30 and 24 runs respectively to ensure that Royals have something on the board.

Royals were 103/4 before Azam Khan got out via Udana.

Apart from them, there was not much to shout about for Barbados.

Udana was the star of the show for Knight Riders as he took 5 wickets and gave away just 21 runs to ensure that Barbados did not find any momentum in batting.

After Azam got out, Barbados completely collapsed and could only add another 19 runs to their total.

The Pollard show thumps the Royals

Pollard’s superb batting display completely shattered Royal’s as their main triggers couldn’t do much to defend a small target of 123.

The West Indian superstar scored a superb half century to ensure that the Knight Riders get over the line.

The winning team lost wickets earlier on as the boundaries dried up.

Mohammed Amir was the pick of the bowlers for Royals as he grabbed three wickets to give away just 21 runs.

The first three batsmen of Trinbago could only score 18 runs.

The match looked interesting at that moment.

To their credit, they still hung around before Pollard took over.

Pollard made 58 runs off 30 balls to ensure that the Knight Riders achieved the target in the 17th over.

Trinbago Knight Riders 125 for 4 (Pollard 59*, Amir 3-21) beat Barbados Royals 122 (Udana 5-21) by six wickets.

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, has confirmed that Kohli, wife Anushka Sharma, and their children, Vamika and Akaay, plan to relocate to London. Sharma revealed that the cricketer envisions settling in the UK post-retirement. Virat Kohli frequently visits London, where their son Akaay was born earlier this year on February 15.

The couple owns property in London, where they are expected to reside after the move. “Yes, Virat plans to move to London with his family soon. However, he is currently focused on cricket and spending time with his family,” Sharma stated.

Kohli has balanced cricket commitments and family time this year. After the birth of his son, he returned to India following the T20 World Cup in June and played series against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Currently participating in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, his next major assignment is the Champions Trophy, followed by IPL 2025.

Despite a dip in form during recent matches against Australia, Sharma expressed confidence in Kohli’s ability to deliver. “Virat scored a brilliant century in Perth and will bounce back in the Boxing Day and Sydney Tests,” Sharma said.

Regarding Kohli’s career longevity, Sharma dismissed retirement rumors. “Virat is fit and will continue playing for at least five more years. He will likely participate in the 2027 World Cup in South Africa,” he added. Sharma emphasized Kohli’s passion for cricket and his ability to perform under pressure.

As Kohli continues to shine on the field, his potential relocation marks a new chapter for the cricket icon and his family.
