In the 2019 World Cup Rohit scored 648 in just 9 innings and also smashed 5 centuries.

Record to become only 3rd Indian Captain to win WC:

India have won 2 ODI World Cups, one under former legendary allrounder Kapil Dev in 1983 and the second under the former legendary wicketkeeper-batter MS Dhoni in 2011. Rohit can create history by becoming the 3rd Indian captain to win an ODI World Cup. Interestingly, Rohit was ignored in the 2011 ODI World Cup and now he will be leading the side in the grand tournament in 2023.

Rohit is known for his aggressive batting style due to which he is the no. six-hitting Indian batter. However, in the upcoming World Cup, the right–handed batter can become the no. 1 player in the world to hit the most number of sixes in international cricket. He is currently 551 sixes just behind the legendary Caribbean batter Chris Gayle who has smashed 553 sixes in his career.
