3 Players RCB can target during IPL 2024 mini-auction
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have consistently been a powerhouse in the Indian Premier League (IPL), known for their formidable batting lineup and dynamic all-rounders. However, the team has often struggled to find the right balance in their bowling department.
However, they will have an opportunity to strengthen their bowling lineup in the upcoming IPL 2024 mini-auction which is set to take place on December 19 in Dubai. As they gear up for the mini-auction, here are three promising players RCB could target to bolster their bowling unit:
1. Rachin Ravindra
Rachin Ravindra, the talented all-rounder from New Zealand, has been making waves with his impressive performances in domestic and international cricket. Known for his ability to extract turns from any surface, Ravindra could provide RCB with the spin option too. Ravindra was brilliant in the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023 where he scored 565 runs in 9 matches and also picked up 5 wickets as well.
2. Mitchell Starc
Mitchell Starc, one of the most feared fast bowlers in world cricket, has the potential to bring the firepower RCB’s bowling attack desperately needs. With his express pace and ability to swing the ball, Starc could be the missing link for RCB. The left-arm speedster has previously played for RCB but couldn’t deliver much. However, his choice to play in the upcoming season might have alerted the RCB campaign and there are high chances that they’d like to get him back in the squad.
3. Gerald Coetzee
Gerald Coetzee, the young South African pacer, has been turning heads with his raw pace and ability to trouble batters. RCB could invest in the future by acquiring Coetzee, who has the potential to become a key player for them. The South African pacer consistently clocks high speeds, making him a genuine quick bowling option for RCB. The youngster played 9 matches in the ODI World Cup 2023 and picked up 18 wickets at an average of 19.38.
