Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma will be told to concentrate on ODIS and Tests: Reports

Meanwhile, recently-appointed chief selector Ajit Agarkar will travel to the Caribbean Islands to discuss the roadmap for the ODI World Cup 2023. The tournament is only a few months away. The second and the last Test match between West Indies and India will begin on July 20.

Meanwhile, the likes of Kohli and Sharma will return to India after the ODI series. After all, they won’t be part of the T20I series. Also, it is understood that the former India pacer, Agarkar might ask Kohli and Sharma to concentrate on longer formats.

“The time to bring in young blood in the T20 set up is overdue. They need enough opportunities and exposure before the big event to settle into their roles. Agarkar will make it clear to both Rohit and Kohli that they should concentrate on ODI and Test cricket,” The Telegraph quoted a source as saying.
