‘Yeh itna gusse se kiu dekh rahe hai’ – Fans react to viral image of Kuldeep Yadav visiting Bageshwar Dham Sarkar ahead of Australia ODI series

Kuldeep Yadav had a fantastic Asia Cup 2023 as he was instrumental in India’s record-breaking 8th Asia Cup title triumph. He won the Player of the Tournament award for taking nine wickets in five games, with an economy of 3.61. Now, he has been given a rest from the first two upcoming ODIs against Australia.

He has been added to the squad for the third ODI against the Aussies. So, ahead of that series, an image has gone viral where Kuldeep was seen visiting Bageshwar Dham Sarkar with his family members. Bageshawar Dham Sarkar is known as a religious pilgrimage site in the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, India.

During the post-match presentation in the Asia Cup 2023 final, Kuldeep said that he has been enjoying his bowling lately. He said: “The last year and a half has been amazing, I’m enjoying my bowling. [T20 and ODI difference] In T20 format just focus on the length and not on the wickets, but in ODIs you can vary your length and try a lot more different things. Been working on my speed and angles with my coach after my injury. More aggressive and it’s coming very nicely. When the fast bowlers bowl like that it’s very easy for a spinner to come and bowl.”  

During the post-match press conference, skipper Rohit Sharma also lauded his performance and said: “Kuldeep has bowled superbly. Under pressure, whenever he’s had the chance to bowl, especially against Sri Lanka [in the Super 4s] where we didn’t have a big score, he came in and picked up a lot of crucial wickets. His confidence has gone up over the last 1-1.5 years. Whenever he’s got the chance he’s bowled well. He’s brought the team back from tough situations, which is a good quality. As a team if we have such a quality bowler, it feels great.”
