WPL 2024: Tickets to go on sale for Bengaluru’s matches today, check out the details

There is good news for the fans of WPL. The tickets for the 2nd edition of the WPL matches are set to go on sale tonight. The tickets for the matches which are set to be played in M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru will be available to be brought. The fans can buy the tickets they wish to buy by going to the online booking platform named ‘Bookmyshow’. 

The official handle of the WPL took to social media and confirmed the news. “Bengaluru, are you ready to witness WPL Season 2 from the stands? Tickets for all Bengaluru matches go LIVE today at 11 am on BookMyShow,” wrote the official handle of the WPL. The 2nd edition of the league will not see home and away legs. All the matches will be played in only two stadiums. 

While most of the league stage matches are set to take place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, other matches and the entire Knockout stage matches of the tournament are set to take place in Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The tournament is set to take place from the 23rd of February to the 17th of March. Five teams will take on each other in an attempt to win the cup. 

Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals to feature in season opener

Mumbai Indians women will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur, who led them to the maiden title in 2023. Delhi Capitals women will be led by Meg Lanning, who were the runner-up last season. The two teams will be taking on each other in the season opener at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB women will be led by Smriti Mandhana. 

Meg Lanning was also the leading run scorer in the league in 2023, while Hayley Mathews was the leading wicket-taker in the league the last time. All the matches would be starting at 7:30 PM in the evening. In the latter part of 2023, the schedule of the league was announced. The fans would be hoping to catch some live action in the stadium.
