‘We seem inferior when it comes to you’ – Suniel Shetty issues warning to his son-in-law KL Rahul about life

Indian cricketer KL Rahul got married to Bollywood actress and veteran actor Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty in January earlier this year. The couple decided to have a small ceremony at Suniel’s property in Khandala. In front of their close friends and family, they exchanged vows. It is known that before they got married, they dated for a few years.

Meanwhile, recently, Suniel revealed that he spoke to his daughter and advised her to support her husband whenever he has challenges. Suniel said that just like actors, athletes also see highs and lows and she should be there for him whenever he needed her presence. However, Suniel admitted that it is quite difficult for Athiya to travel every time with Rahul but she should be with him most of the time.

“Secondly, be someone who believes in your partner blindly. Trust him completely. Number three, he is an athlete. He will travel. You will not be able to travel with him. Be there for him because just like every other actor, they see highs and lows. When they’re scoring, they are at the end of the world. In my time if I believed in Sunil Gavaskar, till my dying day he will always be my hero. I used to fight, beat. No new, nothing would convince me. But there’s so much being vindictive today that just an algorithm is throwing out hatred and AI is controlling hate, not an individual. So scary time,” Suniel was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

I always tell Athiya that you’re blessed: Suniel Shetty

Apart from that, Suniel also advised his son-in-law to don’t be such a beautiful human being. Rahul is known to be calm and composed on and off the field. There’s hardly any moment where the right-hander can be seen raging or showing his aggression. He has also avoided controversies after the ‘Koffee with Karan’ incident.

“Don’t be such a beautiful human being that we seem inferior when it comes to you. You cannot be such a good boy that everybody believes that this is what goodness is about and not you, that’s the kind of child he is. I always tell Athiya that you’re blessed. I tell her she is blessed not necessarily, the other way around,” he said.
