Yuzvendra Chahal predicted his winners for the orange and the purple cap winners of the IPL 2024. The former Purple Cap winner was in an interview recently where he had a fun chat with the host and was asked some questions. One of the questions in the show was his prediction on the leading individual performers in the 17th edition of the league.

The Rajasthan Royals bowler did not hesitate to name Rashid Khan as the purple cap winner for the IPL 2024. Having won the reward in the past, Chahal knew what it takes to win the award. The star spinner felt that the absence of Mohammed Shami would mean more responsibility for Rashid in the IPL 2024. He hence named the leg spinner to be the leading wicket-taker of IPL 2024.

In the IPL 2022, Rashid was the leading wicket-taker in the league. It was the same season where RR made it to the final. There were some key performers for RR in the league which included the orange cap winner Jos Buttler and purple cap winner Chahal himself. They lost to Gujarat Titans in the final in Ahmedabad which saw a great spell of bowling from Khan.
