At the age of 22, Yashasvi Jaiswal became the second batter to score more than 500 runs in a single series after Sunil Gavaskar. Moreover, he also scored two consecutive double-centuries in one series. Considering the number of milestones reached by Jaiswal, this has to be his most memorable series. He has played beautifully throughout the series with some of the best shots.

Moreover, after coming back from injury on day 4, Jaiswal started his innings with 104 runs. As he settled in, he started hitting all the bowlers effortlessly. However, the best moment of the match was the three consecutive sixes he hit off James Anderson. On the 85th over, when Jaiswal was batting on 159, with utmost confidence he hit the bowler three back-to-back sixes.

This was the second time in his entire career, Anderson was hit for back-to-back sixes in his career. Before Jaiswal, Australia’s star batter George Bailey was the first batter to hit him for three consecutive sixes in an over. Anderson so far has taken 696 wickets in Test matches.

Ravichandran Ashwin returns to Rajkot

As India has given a massive target of 557 runs, England will try to either score it or stay alive on the crease for one and a half days to end the match in a draw. Moreover, the return of Ravichandran Ashwin to the team will bring in a lot of confidence India can bowl the visitors out before the day ends. Ashwin had withdrawn from the Test match due to a family emergency. However, he has finally returned before the day 4 ended.

Additionally, Ashwin has just entered the 500-wicket club after dismissing Zak Crawley in the first innings. That was the first wicket of the match for India and an important breakthrough as Ben Duckett and Crawley gave England a great start as always.
