India’s star wicketkeeper-batter and vice-captain, KL Rahul exudes remarkable calmness on and off the cricket field. His composed nature and poise under pressure make him a valuable asset to the Indian cricket team. However, in a surprising turn of events, an old video is surfacing on the internet, showing Rahul engaged in a heated exchange with a pitch invader named ‘Jarvo 69.’

The incident took place during India’s opening match in the 2023 ODI World Cup against Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on October 8. In the video, Rahul can be seen using strong language to confront the intruder, expressing his frustration at the disruption caused during the high-stakes game. He was heard saying, “It’s not for you; that place is for you (pointing towards the crowd). Go f*#k off, stop coming everywhere.”

Brilliant performance by Team India in ODI World Cup 2023 so far

However, later, security personnel at Chepauk escorted him out of the stadium. Jarvo was spotted wearing the Indian blue kit and his signature jersey number, 69. Interestingly, he himself uploaded this video on the internet which was recorded by the camera located on his helmet.

This marked the fourth time that Jarvo had disrupted an international game featuring the Indian cricket team. In 2021, during a Test series in England, he first made his appearance at Lord’s, masquerading as an Indian player. Despite security personnel attempting to remove him from the field, his antics amused some of the players.

Talking about India, they stand as the sole undefeated team in the current tournament, having secured 8 victories out of 8 matches. Their final group stage encounter against the Netherlands on November 12 remains a quest to maintain their unbeaten streak. Having already clinched a spot in the semi-finals and secured the top position in the points table, India anticipate their semi-final clash, slated for November 15 at the renowned Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, against the team which will finish fourth in the points table.
