It is a usual practice to warm up by playing some one-touch football before a rigorous training session on cricket grounds. The English team was seen doing the same at the Old Trafford Stadium ahead of the fourth Ashes Test that starts on July 19, Wednesday. The Aussies are currently leading the series 2-1. They won the first two games at Edgbaston and Lord’s. However, they were unable to seal the series at Headingley as England bounced back to make it 2-1.

Talking of England’s attempt at kicking around the football, their star pacer Stuart Broad ended up getting the most attention. In a viral video shared on Twitter, the teams seem to be engaged in a one-touch game. The ball was flighted up in Broad’s direction. The pacer took a few strides away following the ball with his eyes fixed on it. However, when it came to making a first touch, the ball hilariously ricocheted off his feet and smashed onto his head. Broad must have felt the full force of the ball but was seen shaking it off with a smile with his teammates in the video.

Here’s the viral video:

‘I’ve tried to minimise the width he loves outside off stump’ – Stuart Broad on dominating David Warner

Recently, Stuart Broad opened up on dominating David Warner in the current series. He wrote in his column in the Daily Mail, “The truth is I’ve always found it difficult bowling to Davey, and I still do. By going round the wicket I’ve tried to minimise the width he loves outside off stump but also bowl a fuller length and make him play at 80 to 85 percent of deliveries.”

“He used to sit back against me and hit me through the off side, and before the 2015 Ashes, our bowling coach Ottis Gibson pointed out that my average was much higher against left-handers, the Aussie team that season was full of lefties, and Ottis said I’d be out of the team if I didn’t find a way to bowl to them,” he added.
