Star India batter Virat Kohli has been phenomenal in the ongoing ODI World Cup. He is currently the highest run-scorer in the tournament, with nearly six hundred runs in nine innings. After thrashing the Netherlands at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Kohli has reached Mumbai to face New Zealand in the first semifinals.

However, as he arrived at the airport, Paparazzi tried to capture him on camera. Kohli also tried to give them as many pictures as possible. Meanwhile, after a few minutes, Kohli urged his parents to give him away, as he had to resume his parental duties. He said, “Jane do yaar beti ko ghar leke jana hai (Let me go; I have to take my daughter home).”

It’s worth noting that on Saturday, Virat Kohli was spotted with his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma at Team India’s Diwali celebration. The couple was looking stunning in ethnic dress at the event. However, if reports are to be believed, the star couple is expecting their second baby soon. Anushka has been spotted at the stadium during World Cup games.

Can India break the semifinal jinx against New Zealand?

It’s worth noting that India will be facing New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in the first semifinal game of the ODI World Cup 2023. After constant poor performances in knockout matches, the Indian team will need to break the jinx. The team will face their 2019 semifinal opponents and will look to avenge that defeat. The Blackcaps have defeated India in two major knockout games in the last five years.

However, on the other hand, Kane Williamson-led New Zealand will also look to continue their dominance against India. The team will look to continue their winning run to clinch their first ODI World Cup title. Apart from this game, in the second semi-final, five-time champion Australia will take on South Africa at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on November 16.
