WATCH: Shubman Gill tells Rohit Sharma about not winning against New Zealand since 2003, latter’s response is gold

India opening batters, Shubman Gill and skipper Rohit Sharma were up and about after the team’s massive win against Bangladesh. In the game, the Tigers won the toss and batted first. After putting up their best opening partnership in ODI World Cups, i.e 93 by Tanzim Hasan and Litton Das, the team lost their way and were restricted to 256/8 at the end of the innings.

In reply, the Men In Blue had a great start with Gill and Sharma hitting 88 runs in just 12.4 overs. After them, former India skipper Virat Kohli managed to get his 48th ODI hundred barely. Not to forget, when the team needed 26 runs, he needed as many runs to reach the landmark. The team won the game by seven wickets and maintained their winning streak in the tournament.

Meanwhile, after the game, Gill and Sharma had a conversation about a journalist asking the former about not winning against New Zealand in World Events since the 2003 World Cup. In reply, the India skipper said that winning against Blackcaps depend upon how the team plays on the given day.
