WATCH: Sanju Samson pulls off stunning catch behind wickets to send Kyle Mayers back to pavilion in 4th T20I against West Indies
The 4th match of the ongoing 5-match T20I series between India and West Indies took place at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Florida on Saturday, August 12. With West Indies leading the series by 2-1, the Men in Blue entered the ground in the hope to win the match and levelling the series.
Meanwhile, during the 1st innings of the match, India’s wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson displayed a tremendous fielding display behind the wicket. In the 4th ball of the 2nd over which was being bowled by left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh, Kyle Mayers tried to play a shot over the wicketkeeper but the ball bounced a bit extra and Mayers only manages to edge it behind. Samson leapt and took a sharp catch with his fingers pointing upwards.

Brilliant batting performance by Shimron Hetmyer
Speaking of the first innings, batting first, Windies’ opener Kyle Mayers provided a brilliant start to the team but Arshdeep sent him back to the pavilion in the 2nd over of the game. However, the Caribbean side continued to bat aggressively in the powerplay due to which they lost their 2nd wicket in the sixth over.
West Indies’ top batter Nicholas Pooran, who has been brilliant in the T20I series so far, failed to do anything as he got dismissed by India’s star leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav on the score of just 1 run. Kuldeep dismissed another Windies in-form batter Rovman Powell in the same over on just 1 run.
However, later Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer steadied the ship and stitched a 49-run stand for the 5th wicket. Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed Hope on the score of 45 runs while Hetmyer smashed a brilliant half-century and played an outstanding knock of 61 runs off just 39 balls which included 3 fours and 4 sixes and helped the team to achieve a respectable total of 178 runs.
