WATCH: Rohit Sharma’s humorous jab at Kuldeep Yadav lights up social media after India survive DRS scare against England
On Day 3, India set a challenging target for England in the Vizag Test match. India built a 398-run lead in Vizag, thanks to Shubman Gill’s gutsy century, before being bowled out for 255 runs in the last session of Day 3.
England will need to put in a big effort in the last innings if they are to win the Test match and grab a 2-0 lead over the hosts. The Three Lions ended the 3rd day with 67 runs on the scoreboard with 9 wickets still in hand. Meanwhile, a video is getting viral on social media where the video of the Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav’s hilarious confrontation over a DRS review took centre stage.
The Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s trust difficulties with reviews were once again shown on the pitch as India narrowly avoided losing an early DRS against England on Day 3 of the second Test in Visakhapatnam. The incident occurred as early as the third over of England’s second innings when India was debating whether to review Zak Crawley. The bowler in issue was Jasprit Bumrah, whose whisker beat the outside edge of England’s batsman, but India suspected there was more to it, prompting conversations between Rohit, keeper KS Bharat, and Kuldeep.

Kuldeep attempted to persuade Rohit to accept the review, but thankfully for India, Bharat and the India captain did not appear persuaded. And rightly so, as the playback revealed a significant gap between bat and ball.
Rohit was spotted hand-pointing at Kuldeep and thereafter sarcastically clapping at his partner as the big screen displayed the actuality of the delivery. What was most shocking about this entire scenario was that Kuldeep was positioned at square leg, thus he couldn’t have seen it as well as a Bharat or Bumrah.
Definitely very pleased but I left a bit out there: Shubman Gill
The 3rd day of the Test was memorable for Shubman Gill who smashed his 3rd Test century and of course the much-awaited one as well. Gill has been trolled and criticised a lot for his poor run in the Test format. However, this century will be enough to silence his critics. The right-handed batter talked about his knock in the post-day interview.
“Definitely very pleased but I left a bit out there, to be honest. For the first one, I didn’t feel it (inside edge onto pad). Shreyas told me to take it in case it’s umpire’s call. I saw the point fielder go there and I thought it was a percentage shot. Should’ve just played the 5-6 overs till tea. Pretty decent wicket to bat on. Not an easy kind of wicket to hit on the rise.
Have to apply yourself because the odd one is turning and the odd one is keeping low. I think so (getting pulled up by his father for that shot that got him out). I’ll get to know once I get back to the hotel but I think so. He comes for most of my games, there’s no such pressure. I think it’s 70-30 at the moment. The morning session will be key. We’ve seen there is moisture in the morning and help for fast bowlers and spinners.” Gill was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
