WATCH: Rohit grabs stunning catch to get rid of Ollie Pope in second Test

Rohit Sharma took a stunning catch to dismiss Ollie Pope in the 2nd innings of the 2nd Test against England. The Indian captain displayed a terrific reflex as he caught the ball in the first slip which came very quickly. The catch of Sharma meant that India got the big wicket of Pope who was dangerous in the 1st Test against India. 

The Indian team was all over England on the 4th day of the Test. The collective efforts of the likes of Ravi Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Jasprit Bumrah have ensured India to remain at the top in the Test. It was the experienced campaigner Ashwin who bowled a good ball to induce the outside edge of Pope.

Ashwin bowled a good length delivery, and the ball bounced a bit higher than usual. As a result, Pope ended up misjudging the length. Pope tried to cut the ball. But the right-handed batter could only get a thick edge onto it. The ball travelled quickly towards Rohit who was in the 1st slip. The Indian skipper made no mistake and took a very good catch. 

India all over England on the fourth day

No wonder Rohit was so excited. It was a very good catch and not many could have pulled it off. The wicket helped India to make further inroads into the match. The home side claimed big wickets from the visiting side right in the 1st session of the match. Ashwin was the star of the show who picked three wickets for England in the 1st session of the 4th day. 

India got the wickets of Crawley, pope, Root, Bairstow, and Rehan on the 1st session of the 4th day. At the end of the session, India had England at 194/6. The duo of Ben Stokes and Ben Foakes have led the comeback of England in the match since then. England would hope the duo to bat as long as possible. They will be crucial for England to have any chance in the match.
