In reply, the East Zone could only manage 283 runs before being bundled out by the South Zone bowlers. The South Zone won the toss and elected to bat first. However, one specific moment from the innings stood out; it was the century celebration from Rohan Kunnummal. He brought out a Virat Kohli-inspired celebration mimicking that his bat is doing the talking on the field. The celebration, often used by Virat Kohli, was recreated by Kunummal and the video has gone viral over the internet. The comment sections have also been flooded by Kohli fans.

Here’s the viral video:

Another Virat Kohli fanboy Riyan Parag won the ‘Player of the Tournament’

Riyan Parag, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Utkarsh Singh picked up two wickets each whereas Manisankar Murasingh and Akash Deep scalped one each. In East Zone’s batting reply, they suffered a top-order collapse with the top three batters scoring 11 runs among themselves. Sudip Kumar Gharami with 41 off 63 and Kumar Kushagra with 68 off 58 remained key contributors. But, the star for East Zone was allrounder Riyan Parag who added to his two wickets with a 95-run knock off just 65 balls, including eight fours and five sixes. While Kunnummal was awarded the ‘Player of the Match’, Parag was awarded the ‘Player of the Tournament’ for his exceptional allround show throughout the tournament.

Talking of Virat Kohli, he is not a part of the five-match T20I series against West Indies. He returned to India following their wins in the test and the ODI series in a private flight arranged by Global Air Charter Services. He will next be in action in the Asia Cup ODI 2023, starting August 30.
