Sarfaraz Khan made an amazing Test debut during the third Test vs England in Rajkot. The 26-year-old scored 62 runs before getting run out after a mix-up with Ravindra Jadeja. Many experts and fans lauded the batting talents of the young Indian batter.

Once he was out, one fan took to Twitter and posted an old video of Sarfaraz Khan. This was from the IPL 2015 season when the young batter was playing for RCB. The right-handed batter had scored 45 not out from just 21 balls.

That knock helped RCB reach 200 on the board before the match was called off due to rain. Sarfaraz Khan was the second-highest scorer for the Bangalore side. AB De Villiers had scored 57 while skipper Virat Kohli was out for just 1 run.

Sarfaraz Khan gets huge praise –

It was a huge moment as the long wait for Sarfaraz Khan came to an end on Thursday. The 26-year-old proudly displayed his debut cap handed to him by Anil Kumble the former India legend.

Former England skipper Alastair Cook for one was impressed with the way Khan batted. “I enjoyed Sarfaraz’s batting. I was intrigued to see him because you don’t average 70 runs in first-class cricket without being a serious player or run-getter” Cook said while speaking to TNT Sports.

The 39-year-old also said “You sometimes question some of the stats in India’s domestic trophy because they play on some flat wickets. Jadeja has got a triple hundred there. But actually, this guy can bat. It was a real shame he was run out. I liked how positive he was and how late he played the ball to the spinners.”

Ravindra Jadeja apologized to the youngster on social media after getting him run out. At the end of the day, Sarfaraz got a surprising call from his brother Musheer Khan. The latter was part of the Indian team which played in the Under-19 World Cup before losing to Australia.

It was a proud moment for the entire family as Sarfaraz Khan took his first steps in international cricket. Former stars Sanjay Manjrekar and Sunil Gavaskar could be heard lauding the young batter. During his maiden 50 Khan became the joint fastest half-century maker for India on his Test debut along with Hardik Pandya.
