Ravindra Jadeja has reacted to the dismissal of Sarfaraz Khan in the third Test against England. The Indian cricketer felt bad about the miscommunication between two of them. The star cricketer took to Instagram and posted a story where he apologized to his teammate for calling it wrong in the middle on his maiden opportunity to make an impact. The story of Jadeja has now gone viral on social media.

On the first day of the Rajkot Test, miscommunication between the two led to the dismissal of the debutant. Sarfaraz, who showed a lot of promise and in fact performed very well, could not score a big one, as he was undone by Mark Wood’s direct hit. James Anderson bowled a good length delivery to Jadeja who was on strike. The Southpaw tried to hit a boundary.

The 35-year-old initially called for a run as the ball went straight to the mid-on fielder. However, Jadeja sent Khan back after seeing Wood close to the wickets. Unfortunately, the right-handed batter had come a lot closer to the striker’s end. Wood did not commit any mistake as he hit the poles at the non-striker’s end to send the debutant back to the pavilion.

“It was my wrong call” – Ravindra Jadeja

Both Jadeja and Khan were disappointed with the dismissal. In the stands, the parents of Khan expressed their sadness about the dismissal. The Indian captain Rohit Sharma was totally angry with the missed opportunity and almost cursed the dismissal. He ended up throwing the cap in frustration. Jadeja realized his mistake and apologized to the Mumbai batter by a story on Instagram.

“Feeling bad @sarfarazkhan97 it was my wrong call. Well played,” wrote the Indian cricketer. Both the batters helped India to be in a good position in the match. While India was in tatters at 33/3, the duo of Rohit and Jadeja rescued them with a good partnership. Khan batted well and scored 62(66). Both Jadeja and Rohit scored a hundred and marked the highlights with their batting. India ended the day with a score of 326/5.
