India are set to play the 3rd and decider match of the 3-match ODI series against West Indies at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad on Tuesday, August 1. The Men in Blue lost the 2nd match as they rested the senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli and experimented with other players.

Meanwhile, the Indian Cricket Team arrived at the venue on July 3. However, they were welcomed by the former legendary West Indies allrounder Dwayne Bravo and his son. Bravo, who was recently in action in the Major League Cricket, took some time and went to the hotel where the Indian players were supposed to stay ahead of the match. Many players also had a fun time with Bravo’s son as well.

Should India stop experimenting?

Coming back to the Indian team, they are struggling to find the right combination before the two major competitions Asia Cup and ODI World Cup. Shubman Gill lost his form at a crucial stage as he has failed to produce anything after the Indian Premier League 2023. The management tried Suryakumar Yadav in the first two matches but he once again failed to do anything.

Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson was not able to score much in the 2nd ODI, however, Ishan Kishan is the only cricketer who has impressed a lot in the ongoing ODI series so far. He has smashed 2 back-to-back centuries in the series so far and a good knock in the 3rd match will definitely cement his place in the squad. He also has a great advantage as India’s regular wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is still recovering from his injury.

Many fans and cricket experts believe that India should not do experiments at this stage. They believe that players like Rohit and Kohli should play as many matches as they can play ahead of the major tournaments. It would be interesting to see if both of these players will be playing the 3rd ODI or if they will directly play the Asia Cup which is set to start on August 30.
