WATCH: England cricketer playfully takes a dig at Virat Kohli ahead of WPL 2024
England cricketer Danni Wyatt became famous in India when she asked Virat Kohli to marry her on Twitter. Even though things didn’t pan out that way, the latter did gifted Wyatt his signed bat. Years later, the right-hander has said that she never used that bat more than twice, albeit being playful. She replied in response to a rapid-fire question related to Kohli and David Beckham, the former England footballer.

The England international has the T20I hundred against India in 2018. During the series, she used the bat given by the former India skipper. In one of those games, she hit 124 at Brabourne Stadium, which happens to be her highest individual score. She has two hundred at T20Is.
“Love playing India against because I’ve had success against them in the past.”
Talking about batting with Smriti Mandhana in The Hundred (for Southern Brave in 2023 who won the tournament), Wyatt said that they complement each other well. Mandhana will lead the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the WPL 2024
“Smriti Mandhana, I love batting with her in The Hundred. We bat well together. She has strengths and weaknesses, so I do I have. We complement each other quite well.”
Meanwhile, Wyatt will play for UP Warriors in the upcoming second season of the Women’s Premier League.

Meanwhile, recently, Kohli’s wife and Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma announced the birth of their second child, Akaay on social media. He is the younger brother of Vamika, who was born in January 2021.
