Prithvi Shaw recently suffered a knee injury while playing for Northamptonshire in the One-Day Cup and now, he has arrived at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bengaluru for further rehabilitation. Now, he shared an Instagram story where Shaw was seen meeting with Rishabh Pant at the NCA.

Pant is also at the NCA as he is also recovering from the injuries he suffered from the horrible road accident in December 2022. The star opener shared the story with a caption: “So good to see him after long @rishabpant.” Seeing that, fans went crazy and shared their views on social media. Pant is currently having intense training sessions to get fitter.

Prithvi Shaw played only four matches in the One-Day Cup

Both Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant play for Delhi Capitals in the IPL. In the last edition, Pant did not play and Shaw had a disappointing season. He scored just 106 runs in eight games. But, in the recent One-Day Cup, Shaw scored 429 runs in four games, including 244 against Somerset and an unbeaten 125 against Durham. Regarding Shaw getting ruled out of the competition, the Northamptonshire head coach John Sadler said that the young opener made a huge impact on the team during his short stint and had been grateful for the opportunity.

He said: “In his short stint, Prithvi has made a huge impact on us as a club. It is a huge shame he would not be with us for the remainder of this competition. He is an extremely humble young man. He is very respectful and had been so grateful for the opportunity to represent Northamptonshire. As well as his performances on the field, he had a huge impact in our dressing room. Nobody wanted to win games more than him, and he contributed to us doing so. We wish him well and hope to see him scoring runs again soon.”
