‘Trailer toh kaafi promising hai’ – Fans react as trailer of R Balki’s much-awaited ‘Ghoomar’ gets released, Abhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher in lead roles

Bollywood has produced multiple cricket-related iconic movies such as Lagaan, Iqbal, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, 83 and many others. And now another movie based on cricket is set to hit the theatres on August 18. Known for his commercial superhits like Cheeni Kum, Paa and Padman and special films with social messages, R Balki has again come up with another film Ghoomar whose trailer got released on Friday, August 4.

The trailer took the audience to emotions, inspiration and transformational events. Ghoomar, graced by the extraordinary direction of Balki, promises to redefine the landscape of sports films in India. The movie stars veteran Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan as a cricket coach whose life takes an unexpected turn when he meets a paralyzed athlete, played by the talented Saiyami Kher. In the film, both have to face social challenges and personal struggles.

The trailer of Ghoomar is getting viral on the internet, due to which it is getting very good reviews from the fans. Abhishek and Saiyami are in the lead roles in the movie. Apart from them, legendary Bollywood actor Shabana Azmi and former India cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi’s son Angad Bedi are also playing important roles in the film.

Abhishek and Sayami’s superb acting in the powerful trailer has won the hearts of the people. In this trailer, Sayami is seen playing the role of a disabled cricketer who at one point tries to commit suicide and later becomes a great player of the country. Abhishek and Saiyami’s powerful performances deliver moments of pain, determination and hope.

Sayami is playing the role of a left-handed bowler in this film, who lost her hand during a horrific car accident. For this Sayami was in dire need of trailing because she does the common work of her life with her right hand only. It is reported that Sayami has taken special training from the former Indian spinner Murli Karthik, who was known for his excellent spin bowling. The film also features a special appearance of the legendary Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan, however, it is not clear what kind of role Amitabh is playing in the movie.
