Since 2021, there has been no better batter in Test cricket than Joe Root. The former England skipper has scored 3987 runs from 47 matches with an average of 50.4. Joe Root is set to become the first batter to score 4000 runs in World Test Championships. The 33-year-old has also hit 12 centuries and 16 fifties during this period for the three lions.
