Akshay Kumar has finally released the first teaser of his much awaited film Ram setu today. Ram Setu is Akshay’s fifth film to release in 2022. Along with Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushratt Bharuchha in integral roles.

In the teaser, Akshay Kumar is shown as an archaeologist whose mission is to discover and save Ram Setu. The teaser shows Akshay in a diving suit for going underwater all by himself to have a glimpse of the Ram Setu.

Although the teaser does not delve into much details about the movie, but Akshay gives the hint that they only have 3 days to save the Ram setu. Quick glances of Nassar along with the rest of the cast in action sequences in a battle against time are shown in the less-than-a-minute teaser.

Picturesque locations, underwater action and Akshay Kumar’s never seen before avatar are some of the highlights of this teaser.

For the unversed, Ram Sethu is a chain of limestone shoals located between Pamban Island, commonly known as Rameswaram Island, off the southern coast of Tamil Nadu, and Mannar Island, off the northwestern coast of Sri Lanka. It is a bridge built by Lord Ram’s army to reach Lanka and rescue his wife Sita, according to the Ramayana.

Ram Setu is directed by Abhishek Sharma and co-produced by his company Cape of Good Films along with Amazon Prime Video, Abundantia Entertainment, and Lyca Productions.

The film has been in the works for a long time. Akshay had released its first posters around Diwali in 2020, with the words, “let us endeavour to keep Ram’s ideals alive in the consciousness of Indians.”
