T20 World Cup 2024: Schedule and Groups announced for the tournament
The next edition of the T20 World Cup will be played between June 4 to June 29 this year. Last year, the dates for the tournament to be played in the Caribbean Islands and the USA were announced. For the second time, the Caribbean Islands are hosting the T20 WC, having done it in 2010. Three years before this, they hosted the ODI World Cup, won by Australia.
On the other hand, the USA will see a World Cup for the first time on their land. Meanwhile, talking about the tournament, for the first time, a Cricket World Cup, be it ODI or T20, will see 20 teams playing in the tournament. Talking about the teams making their debuts, USA, Uganda, and Nepal are playing for the first time. Apart from them, some former champions and some teams that started playing in the tournament will appear once again.
The Men’s T20 World Cup schedule for 2024 was released by the Apex Cricket Council. India have been placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, Ireland, the United States, and Canada.
India’s campaign will begin in New York on June 5th against Ireland, since they will play all of their group fixtures in the United States. But what is attracting the most interest is the crucial match between Pakistan and India.
The intense India-Pakistan clash, which is slated for June 9th, is anticipated to be a thrilling second group stage match for both sides. It will be held at a makeshift stadium built especially for this reason in New York.

India vs Ireland – June 5 in New York.
India vs Pakistan – June 9 in New York.
India vs USA – June 12 in New York.
India vs Canada – June 15 in Florida.
