Rajinikanth has reacted to the fan wars between his and Thalapathy Vijay’s fans. The Kollywood superstar has expressed his disappointment about the fan wars and regretted that the fans feel there is a competition between him and Vijay. There was a controversy created by the fans when Rajinikanth spoke during the promotion of his movie ‘Jailer’.

During the Audio launch of ‘Jailer‘, Rajinikanth said “Even though the eagle flies high, it remains calm. But the crow isn’t like that, as it will keep cawing to irritate the eagle, which will ignore it and fly even higher. However the crow tries, it can never fly as high as the eagle.” The fans of Vijay misinterpreted the dialogue and felt that it was an indirect dig at their star.

Since then, there has been a social media battle between the fans of both superstars regarding supremacy. The Kollywood superstar had to come up with a statement to stop fans from fighting amongst each other. As ‘Jailer’ became a mammoth success compared to Vijay’s ‘Leo’, the fans of Rajinikanth and Vijay have been fighting against each other online.

‘Vijay had said that he is his competition’ – Rajinikanth

Rajinikanth stated that Vijay had claimed himself to be his competition and added that he would promote the same. “It feels sad to hear that there’s competition between us. Vijay had said that he is his competition, and I have also stated the same,” said the Kollywood superstar. It is worth noting that ‘Leo‘ had a lesser gross than ‘Jailer’ in the year 2023. Rajinikanth added that SA Chandrasekhar introduced him to Vijay during the shoot of ‘Dharmathin Thalaivan’.

The Superstar revealed that the father of Vijay wanted his son to be an actor. “During the shoot of Dharmathin Thalaivan, SA Chandrasekhar had introduced Vijay, who was just 13 or 14 years old then, to me and told me that his son was interested in acting and wanted me to advise him to focus on studies and think about acting later,” added Rajinikanth in his statement and asked the fans to stop the fan wars amongst each other.
