Bollywood veteran actor Bobby Deol has been generating considerable buzz since the release of the action-drama film Animal on December 1. Audiences were captivated by Bobby’s exceptional performance in the role of ‘Abrar,’ a character who is dumb yet manages to outshine other actors in the film.

Simultaneously, Bobby’s elder brother, Sunny Deol, who had a successful year with the blockbuster Gadar 2, expressed his joy for Bobby’s achievements in Animal. Sunny praised his younger brother’s performance and overall liked the movie. However, he also shared that there were certain aspects of the film he wasn’t fond of. While not delving into specifics, Sunny didn’t hesitate to convey his honest opinions about the elements that didn’t resonate with him.

“I am genuinely happy for Bobby. I have watched Animal, and I liked it, it’s a nice film. There are certain things that I did not like, which I don’t like in many films including my own films. But that’s as a person I have the right to like or not like but in totality it is a nice film. The music is very good and it goes hand in glove with the sequences. Bobby has always been Bobby, but now he is Lord Bobby,” Sunny was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

I didn’t think of my character as a villain: Bobby Deol

Bobby, who returned to the big screens after 4 years, talked about his character in the movie and said that he doesn’t think he played the role of a villain. Bobby said that he saw his character as a kid who was traumatised after his grandfather committed suicide.

“I didn’t think of my character as a villain. I saw my character as a child who was traumatised when he saw his grandfather committing suicide, so he lost his voice. He swears to avenge his grandfather’s death. He is very family-oriented. He is also romantic, he has three wives. He can kill and also get killed for his family,” Bobby was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
