‘Gadar 2 collection is fake’ – Fans react as Gadar 2 becomes the highest grossing Hindi film in India beating Pathaan!
For a long time now, Gadar 2 has been inching closer towards Pathaan in the race for box office collection. On Thursday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh dropped the numbers revealing that Gadar 2 has beaten Pathaan in the race and taken over the first place in becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film in India.
The trade analyst Taran Adarsh took it to his X handle (formerly known as Twitter) and tweeted, “Gadar 2 crosses lifetime business of Pathaan’s Hindi version [ ₹524.53 crore] in India… Now the no. 1 HIGHEST GROSSING FILM in Hindi in India. Business at a glance… Week 1: ₹284.63 cr (crore). Week 2: ₹134.47 cr. Week 3: ₹63.35 cr. Week 4: ₹27.55 cr. Week 5: ₹7.28 cr. Week 6: ₹4.72 cr. Weekend 7: ₹2.75 cr [till Wednesday]. Fans of Shah Rukh Khan have stormed the comment section in retaliation. Moreover, the netizens have dropped their verdict on the box office numbers too. While some believe these numbers are fake there are others who are celebrating the success of Gadar 2. On the other hand, Jawan is inching closer to the 600 crores club at the domestic box office collection. The film was released in several languages on 7th September 2023. Jawan hit the theatres in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Coming back to Gadar 2, the film is a much-awaited sequel to the original Bollywood blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The film was released in the year 2001 creating havoc at the theatres. The blockbuster movie franchise stars Sunny Deol as Tara Singh, an Indian truck driver. Meanwhile, Ameesha Patel is seen playing the role of Sakeena a Pakistani woman and Tara Singh’s love interest.
Earlier, this month, Sunny Deol hosted a success bash in Mumbai. The event was attended by several Indian film stars. It was a star-studded evening. Actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Varun Dhawan, Dharmendra, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, and Shilpa Shetty amongst others graced the party. Sunny’s son-actor Karan Deol treated his fans with inside pictures from the party.
