Australia is hosting Pakistan for a three-match Test series. Pat Cummins’ side has already won the series, as they are leading 2-0 and are currently eyeing for a clean sweep to the visitors. The Men in Green are yet to win a test match since 1995 against the Aussies in Australia. During the third test Day 3 something unusual happened and the game stopped former Aussie captain Steve Smith stopped for a bizarre reason that left the commentators in shock.

Smith stated that while batting, something on the side screen was keeping him from focusing. Batters frequently complain about crowd movement or change the side screen when they are batting. But as it turned out, the source of the issue was a small bundle of tape, which made the commentators smile.

Smith’s form in the series has been cold and he has got just one half-century in the series so far. The batter will be eager to get back his old form in the traditional format of the game. The crowd praised the ground crew member as a hero for coming to Smith’s aid and taking the distraction out of his line of sight.

The SCG fans even showered him with high fives as the ground crew circled the stadium. He was not much helped by the tape being removed as he was back in the pavilion after scoring 38 runs.

You think you’ve seen: Ian Smith

“You think you’ve seen everything,” Ian Smith said on air. “Surely it’s not that little thing there, surely not,” said former England captain Michael Vaughan. Pakistan had a 14-run lead after bowling out Australia out for 299 runs. Pakistani batters lost three wickets, going from 67/4 to 68/7. Hazelwood dismissed Agha Salman, Sajid Khan, and Saud Shakeel with three wickets in an over. At stumps on Day 3, Pakistan leads by 82 runs.

Australia are currently having the upper hand and might win the last test as well and give David Warner a good farewell, as the batter is playing the last test match of his illustrious international career.
