Shan Masood has given his opinion on David Warner’s baggy green getting stolen ahead of the Sydney Test. The latter would be playing the last Test of his career starting tomorrow and would be hoping to end his career on a high note in the format. But before he could do it, an unfortunate incident took place where his baggy green (Cap) had been stolen.

Earlier today, David Warner posted a video where he mentioned the same. The Pakistani captain expressed his disappointment over the same and expressed his surprise over the incident. Masood appreciated Warner by saying that he has been a great ambassador of the game and deserves respect and celebration for an unbelievable career.

Masood called Warner an example of an opener and added that he loves watching the Southpaw bat. He cheekily added that he would hopefully not witness Warner batting for a long time at Sydney. Masood felt that test cricket is a pinnacle and wearing the baggy cap for an Australian is a moment of pride. Masood said that Pakistan has changed their caps, but Australia has never changed their baggy green.

‘We might need the best of detectives to get that back’ – Shan Masood

Masood then added that the baggy green cap is precious for an Australian cricketer and hoped that Warner would get it back. “I hope they find it. It’s the most precious thing for any cricketer, and I hope David Warner gets it back,” added the captain of Pakistan in his statement. He added that there must be a nationwide search for the same and the best detectives must be behind the search operation.

“There should be a country-wide search right now from the Australian Government for Warner’s Baggy green. We might need the best of detectives to get that back,” Masood concluded. Pakistan will be playing Australia in the Pink Test at Sydney which happens to be the last test match of Warner in his career. Shaheen Afridi is likely to be rested for the game and Sajid Khan might play instead of him.
