Shah Rukh Khan wins Best Actor Award in Dadasaheb Phalke 2024

Shah Rukh Khan won the award for Best Actor in the lead role at the Dada Sahab Phalke Awards 2024. The year had three releases of Shah Rukh and the star actor got the award for his role in ‘Jawan’. 2023 was the year of SRK and he truly bossed the year in terms of on-screen performance and the business of all his three movies at the box office.  

The year started on a good note as ‘Pathan’ became his first major hit in a long time. He had another major success in ‘Jawan’ where he was seen in dual roles. While ‘Pathan’ was a massive hit across regions, ‘Jawan’ was an even major hit. The fans loved SRK in both the movies which was evident in the way his movies grossed. SRK ended the year on a good note. 

The all-anticipated ‘Dunki’, a collaboration between Rajkumar Hirani and SRK hit the big screens. While it was not their best work of Hirani, the fans loved the commitment of the star actor in pulling off the role. It was a perfect end to the year, which belonged to SRK. Along with SRK, Nayanthara, his co-actress in ‘Jawan’, won the award for Best Actress in the lead role.

Speaking about winning the award, SRK thanked the jury members who found him eligible to be the winner. Shah Rukh felt that it had been a long time since he last won the award. “Shukriya sari jury member ka jinhone mujhko best actor ke liye layak samjha. Aur bahut saal ho gaye mujhe Best Actor ka award nahin mila toh aisa lagne laga tha ki ab milega hi nahin,” said the ‘Dunki’ actor. 

The Bollywood Badshah claimed that he loves awards a lot and is greedy about them. “Mujhe bahut khushi hai. Mujhe awards bahut ache lagte hai main thoda laalchi hu, greedy hu. Mere se zaada Vinod Chopra ko acche lagte hai. Hum dono share karlenge Vinod,” added Shah Rukh in his statement after winning the Prestigious award.
