Sandeep Reddy Vanga steals limelight by winning Best Director award in Dadasahab Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2024

Sandeep Reddy Vanga bagged a huge award at the Dada Sahab Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2024. For his work in ‘Animal’, which was released in December 2023, the star director won the ‘Best Director award’. The movie was well received by the common audience and grossed a huge number at the worldwide box office. The critics were not too happy with the product.  

The movie starred Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Tripti Dimrii, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. It was one of the biggest blockbuster hits of the year. The fans were impressed with the conviction of the director to show the monster to the lead actor. The music of ‘Animal’ is regarded highly by the fans. Sandeep has been regarded as the deserving winner by the fans. 

Though the movie had a long run time, the fans were entertained due to the big screen experience. Some of the viewers did not buy the second half of the movie. Some felt there was a lot of violence and bloodshed in the movie. However, most agreed upon the fact that the director had the conviction to touch upon the evil nature of the lead character. 

Bobby Deol wins big in Dada Sahab Phalke Awards 2024

‘Animal’ had terrific acting performances from many actors. Anil, Tripti, Ranbir, and Rashmika all gave stellar performances. However, none of them received any award in the Dada Sahab Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2024 for their acting performances. The fans are not happy that none of them got an award for their performances. Ranbir gave a stellar performance and nailed his role in ‘Animal’.  

However, the surprising outcome from the show was Bobby Deol winning the award for ‘Best Actor in a Negative Role’. Deol was brilliant in his role in Animal as a negative actor. He did not have to speak a word to let out his emotions. However, the screen time for the character of ‘Abrar’ in Animal was much less and some feel that there were better performances in negative shades in 2023.
