Sandeep Reddy Vanga has come up with his first-choice actress for Bollywood movies like Animal and Kabir Singh. In his recent interview, the star director revealed that Parineeti Chopra was the first-choice actress to star in Kabir Singh and Animal. Sandeep openly asked for an apology from Parineeti in the interview for not considering her for the roles.

Sandeep said that Parineeti was not the actress he wanted to cast for the character of Gitanjali. The director of Kabir Singh revealed that he had signed with Parineeti about 1 and a half years before the shoot started. Vanga added that he did not see Gitanjali in her for unknown reasons. He added that it was probably not meant for the two to collaborate with each other on the projects.

“Actually, galti mera hi hai. I said, ‘Ho sake toh maaf karo mujhe (It’s my fault. I told her to forgive me).’ I signed her (Parineeti Chopra) one and a half years before the shoot and for some reason, I didn’t see Geetanjali in her,” said Sandeep. He further added that he does not believe in auditions and goes only with his instincts. Sandeep added that he liked Parineeti’s acting from day one.

Sandeep also revealed the fact that he wanted to cast Parineeti for the role of Preeti in Kabir Singh but added that things did not pan out as expected by them. “From day one I have liked her acting and I always wanted to cast her as Preeti also in Kabir Singh but hua nahi uss time (it did not work out),” added Sandeep who understood that Parineeti Chopra knew what he meant.

Sandeep was honest when he said that Parineeti did not suit the role. He added that none is bigger than the film and felt that Parineeti understood the motive behind his decision. Meanwhile, Animal set the box office on fire and has minted a huge sum of money at the worldwide box office. The release of Salaar and Dunki might stop its dream run at the box office.
