Ravichandran Ashwin has expressed his sadness for Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli for the loss in the ODI World Cup final 2023. The two senior players were at their best form in the tournament and yet ended up on the losing side in the big match. After the loss, Rohit and Virat were seen as a huge disappointment, which broke the hearts of millions of fans.

“We felt the pain in the dressing room. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were crying. Seeing that felt bad for everyone,” said Ashwin. Rohit and Virat were exceptional with the bat in the tournament. Virat scored the most number of runs in a single edition of the ODI World Cup (765 runs). On the other hand, Rohit was at his aggressive best and played selfless cricket with the bat throughout the tournament.
