The organizers have set up a major tournament in football where players aged over 35 will participate. The teams that have won the Football World Cup in the past will field players in a league, which will be recognized as the World Cup for senior players. The tournament exclusively features individuals aged 35 or older. It will feature some of the great players who won the big tournament in the past.

The tournament is set to take place in England. It will take place mainly on two days – the 4th and 5th of June. The final of the tournament is set to take place on the 11th of June, a week after the second day of the group stage. The tournament is set to take place in such a way that it would not collide with the schedule of the Champions League final or the Euros 2024.

The final of the UCL is scheduled to take place by the end of May. Euros is set to start from the 14th of June. The window between the periods is set to be dedicated to the tournament. It is set to feature the players from the EPG (Elite Players Group). It is a group featuring those who have played at least one game for their nation or at least 100 domestic games for their side.

Will Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo participate?

Therefore, the cup is set to be named the EPG Cup. The tournament will showcase many great players of the past such as Michael Owen, Ashley Cole, Joe Cole, Rio Ferdinand, David James, Frank Lampard, Robbie Fowler, and Steve McManaman. Some of the current legends who are playing like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are unlikely to feature in the tournament.

There will also be other greats like Kaka, Ronaldinho, Cafu and Rivaldo. However, the likes of Mesut Ozil, David Villa, Carlos Puyol, Fabio Cannavaro Francesco Totti, and Henry might also be in action. The fans are excited to see their heroes play again. Some of them were big names for their team.
