Ranveer Singh & Arjun Kapoor will be hosting the 67th edition of the Filmfare Awards.

Fans can expect some great fun and entertainment from Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor

Ranveer Singh, who has performed on stage on many occasions said hosting the event is a different challenge altogether.

During a press conference on Thursday evening, Singh said, “It is the first time I am hosting, I have danced a few times. Performing on stage is very different from hosting. According to me, hosting takes ten times more work, ten times the amount of time.”

Excited about the upcoming Filmfare awards show, Ranveer said, “There are only a few people in my life that can make me laugh and Arjun Kapoor is one of them.”

“He’s an encyclopedia when it comes to movies and Bollywood. He knows all about the ongoing here (in the industry, laughs),” he said

“He is a lot of fun and I am looking forward to working with him for this event,” he added.

The IIFA Filmfare awards are the amongst, the most anticipated film award shows in India.

The 67th edition of the annual Filmfare Awards will take place on September 9th, 2022.

The show will be on Colors TV for India while the digital broadcasting rights have also been given to Meta (Facebook) as well.

Reputed sports and entertainment portal, Wolf777 News will be the title sponsor of the 67th Filmfare Awards.

The show is set to be hosted by leading actors Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor.

The award show will see a power-packed performance from Karthik Aaryan, Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, and Disha Patani.

In an interview with TOI Ranveer Singh also opened up about how he got into the skin of a few of his iconic characters like cricketer Kapil Dev in 83 and Murad in Gully Boy

“I just went to his (Kapil Dev’s) house aur unke guest room mein two weeks ke liye thehra. It was a very fulfilling process.”

“The footage of the time was very limited and so I spent time with Kapil sir.”

“I would train for cricket the whole day and spend time with Kapil sir in the evenings.”

Talking about Gully Boy, Ranveer shared that the locality that he grew up in allowed him to witness the best of both worlds.

Known for being a Bandra boy, Ranveer said that the bunch of boys he played cricket within the other side of the town weren’t as affluent and that’s where he took the inspiration from.

The show will air on Colors and Colors Cineplex and will be telecasted live on Filmfare’s Facebook page, globally. Fans can also catch exclusive coverage, behind the scenes, and more across Filmfare’s website and social media handle.
