Rahat Fateh Ali Khan gives clarification over viral video where he was seen kicking and slapping his student

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has given justification for his action in a video that has gone viral on the internet. In the video, the popular singer was seen kicking and slapping a student in a hotel with his shoes. The move of the singer was criticized heavily by the fans online. Following the criticism against him, the singer has come out with a statement to defend his move.

The Pakistan singer made the video with two of his students and explained the situation for his move. The star singer claimed that there has been misinformation on the internet regarding his move. The singer accepted that it was indeed him who was in the viral video. It was captured from a CCTV camera in the hotel. It was not sure whether the person in the footage was Ali Khan or not.

Rahat confirmed that he hit the students with his shoe and kicked them. The singer justified his move by claiming that it had to do with an internal matter between an ‘Ustad and Shagird’ (A teacher and a student). Rahat claimed that the video of his mistreatment with the students had been misinterpreted. Rahat added that the relationship between a student and a teacher is the same.

“The videos you are seeing are a personal issue between Ustad and Shagird (teacher and his disciple). He is like my son. This is how the relationship is between a teacher and his disciple,” said Rahat. Ali Khan added that if a disciple does something good, he shows love to them. At the same time, he added that a teacher punishes a student when wrong. “If a disciple does something good, I shower my love on him. If he does something wrong, he is punished,” added Ali Khan as he justified his move of punishing the students.
