Akshay Kumar to Hema Malini, top Bollywood actors who made significant contribution in construction of Ram Lalla’s new house

The much-awaited Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple has not only captured the hearts of the common folk but has also seen significant contributions from various individuals, including celebrities, towards the construction of this revered monument.

Govind Dev Giri, the treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, revealed that over Rs 1,100 crore has been spent on the construction, with an additional Rs 300 crore needed. Notable personalities from the film and television industries, such as Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Gurmeet Choudhary, Pawan Kalyan, Hema Malini, and Manoj Joshi, have actively participated in this monumental endeavour.

Hera Pheri Star Akshay Kumar, in January 2021, urged people through a video to contribute to the construction of the Shri Ram temple. Expressing his delight about the commencement of the temple’s construction, he set an example by taking the first step, contributing, and inviting others to join the cause.

Meanwhile, Anupam Kher shared a video from his visit to Ayodhya in October 2023, expressing his heartening experience witnessing the construction of the grand temple. He considered himself fortunate to have contributed a brick to the temple and conveyed his blessings.

Mukesh Khanna and Pawan Kalyan made contributions too

Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna also made a notable contribution, presenting a Rs 1.1 lakh cheque towards the temple construction fund, showcasing solidarity with the campaign. However, South Superstar Pawan Kalyan, recognising Lord Sri Ramachandra as an epitome of righteousness, sacrifice, and bravery, donated a generous amount of Rs 30 lakh towards the temple construction. He emphasised the collective responsibility to stand in solidarity for this symbolic structure.

BJP MP and actress Hema Malini, the legendary actress, not only made an undisclosed donation for the temple’s construction but also participated in a performance in Ayodhya. She expressed her joy at being part of the Ramayana performance, highlighting the unity and cultural richness surrounding Lord Ram. Another veteran actor, Manoj Joshi, shared his thoughts on Lord Ram and the Ram Temple in a video in 2021, endorsing the cause and making a contribution towards the construction.
