Former Indian actress Priyanka Chopra turned 41 on July 18. She has been in the entertainment industry for close to two decades. The veteran has over 50 films to her name. Meanwhile, on her birth anniversary, she revealed how weird it was for her when she auditioned for her first job in Hollywood.

For the unversed, she worked in Quantico alongside former WWE wrestler, Dwayne Johnson. Apart from this, she has worked in Love Again, Baywatch, Citadel, and many more.

In Good Morning America, Priyanka revealed why it was ‘weird’ for her to audition. She shared, “I guess that’s how it’s done here”, further adding, “Because I ended up being Miss World — I’m just casually putting that out there, in 2000 –so people kind of knew who I was and [I] was cast in movies because it made sense. And then I just ended up doing a lot of them because I guess I was decent at my job.”

I was being pushed into a corner: Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra, recently, went all out and open about her life in Bollywood on Dax Shepherd’s podcast. She said, “I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, and I am not good at playing that game, so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break. So, when this music thing came, I was like ‘f*** it, I am going to America’.”

Notably, Chopra was expected to share screen space with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in ‘Jee Le Zaraa’. However, she walked out on the film and was expected to be replaced by Anushka Sharma and Kareena Kapoor but no luck so far.

The film will be directed by Farhan Akhtar, and he might star in it as well. Priyanka’s next film is titled ‘Heads Of State’, co-starring John Cena and Idris Elba. It will stream on Prime Video.
