India cricketer Prithvi Shaw appears to be walking on choppy waters as reports suggest that his relationship with his girlfriend Nidhi Tapadia might come to an end as according to reports the two have stopped following each other on Instagram. With this step undertaken, this could indicate that all is not well between the two and that their relationship seems to have hit the breaking point.

The duo was seen at the Cannes film festival recently together. Shaw in fact went one step further and made a reference to Nidhi as his wife but now that post seems to have been deleted. At the moment, Shaw is having a rough time when it comes to his personal and professional life. Shaw did not have the best of Indian Premier League seasons in 2023 as he made 106 runs in 8 matches at an average of 13.25 and at a strike rate of 124.70.

The Mumbaikar hit just one fifty in the 2023 season. On another note, though Shaw recently went past  Sanjay Manjrekar’s record of 371 in the Ranji Trophy. The right-hander  also got a call back into the Indian side in the home T20I series against New Zealand but he did not get a game in that series.

Prithvi Shaw shot to fame in the 2018 U-19 World Cup

Shaw burst into fame during the 2018 U-19 World Cup as he got the big runs for India in the tournament and also led them to yet another World Cup win in Australia against the Kangaroos. After that Shaw got an opportunity in the IPL for Delhi Capitals. The right-hander had made his Test debut before playing the under 19 World Cup.

When Shaw made his Test debut, the former cricketers went ga-ga over his batting and said Shaw was a mixture of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Brian Lara. India will play a Test series against the West Indies in a few days time and Shaw has not made the cut to the side.

Shaw would want to shut his critics and continue to score the runs in domestic cricket. Shubman Gill his U-19 teammate has become one of the main batters for India across all formats.
