Salaar Part One: Ceasefire, Prabhas‘ highly awaited film, has apparently been postponed. The picture was originally scheduled for a worldwide cinema release on September 28, 2023, and the makers released a special teaser a few months ago to add fuel to the anticipation. According to sources, the post-production delay in Salaar has caused the picture to be delayed for a few months. The delay in release will also have an influence on the film’s advance ticket sales, and refunds for the $400k tickets will be provided soon.

Salaar, starring Prabhas, has already amassed a big advance booking at the US box office. As of now, all bookings for the film have been cancelled, thus around $400K in tickets will be reimbursed. While there has been no official comment from the film’s producers on the new release date or postponement, the news is surely distressing for Prabhas’ fans.

According to Pinkvilla, Prabhas, Prashanth Neel, and the team collectively decided to postpone Salaar. The article stated, “Salaar is one of the most anticipated films to come out of India, and the filmmakers are determined to live up to the high expectations of fans and moviegoers. Unfortunately, the film is not yet complete and will require further post-production work. As a result, Prabhas, Prashanth Neel, and their crew agreed to postpone the film’s initial September 28 release date,”

Prabhas new film Salaar faces hurdles:

According to reports, Salaar director Prashanth Neel and the film’s producers hope to premiere the picture in December 2023 or January 2024. While December is similarly jam-packed with releases, including Shah Rukh Khan’s third film of the year, Dunki, the producers hope to capitalise on the vacations and festivals of Sankranti and Republic Day in January.

Interestingly, Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD has already reserved a Sankranti vacation. Nag Ashwin directed the film, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan.

Several fans expressed their dismay after learning that Salaar’s release date had been pushed back. “Big Breaking – #Salaar is Postponed due to #Jawan unprecedented wave and is pushed to an unknown date, Official Announcement Soon,” one user posted on Twitter. #Adipurush was delayed owing to #Pathaan, and now SALAAR. Dinosaurs can stay in Jurassic Park for the time being because it is Lion Month.”
